The Shield plus and the Max 9 came out at about the same time and if I wanted a Shield I have seen several at a not too bad of a price for this market. However finding a Max 9 at a price that is not a total rip off is impossible. I find a lot of Max 9s at the $499 level but they are all out of stock. So I have Buds at $599 and I saw a place that had them at $639. I did find a gun store in Maine that had them in stock for $499 but they do not ship guns. What I wonder is Ruger making less of them or is the demand greater. I plan on buying one but I guess I am going to have to wait until demand drops off or Ruger catches up.

Brand new and probably in big demand. Guess we can expect some gouging. Guns & Ammo May issue has a review/test for those ineterested. Be interested myself if not for my CS-9. I liker that tritium light pipe front sight and being optic ready. Don't know if I could own here in Ma. unless they undergo the usual torture test acceptance BS. It does sound like a decent choice.

I have the ec9s and the lc380 with a conversion kit from Buds. I lioke both really well and my LCP is so easy to carry I don't think I'll fool with the Max9 right now but may really get hard to find later ....
