I am going to have my 19 that I carry on duty freshened up some. Pondering sending off to Michael Grouse for engraving and am looking for a quality bluing operation for a rather special gun. Fords won't answer their phone, Turnbull will only accept pre polished and polishing a engraved gun is something I haven't done. So my questions are these…
1. Anyone have experience good or bad with Grouse. His prices for what I will still carry occasionally seems reasonable.
2. Any other quality stand up places to do carbona style bluing and re case hardening of the hammer and trigger.
