According to the Pusser Museum, Michael Paul Vance, the son of Pauline Mullins Pusser and step son of Buford Pusser, died in 2021 and had been suffering with pulmonary fibrosis.
That's still not 3 kids.....................
Did not know the son had died. He & his sister were estranged for many, many years. Sad.
Me, I don't know anything but a family tree chart show Pauline had three children - Here is a copy of the listing.

As I understand it, Diane lived in Memphis in 1967 and Pauline called her to come home because Her and Buford were having problems - Diane was in the house on the night she heard a pop (thoght to be a gunshot) and saw Buford "drag/carry" Pauline to the car and he came back towad the house - she was afraid of Buford and thought he was coming back to kill her - but instead he picked up her shoes where they had been dragged off her feet and placed them in the floorboard of the passenger seat - they can be seen there in evidence photos.
Again, I have no idea if the above is true - it is part of the written record.
