I need some more range ammo for my SW BG .380. Currently Fiocchi and Freedom Munitions have the best prices going. Anyone have any issues with Fiocchi .380 ? Found mostly good reviews about it but found a few people that had issues with it in their BG380.

I ran Fiocchi .380 & 9mm, when i first started shooting, because of the sales.
I don't recall any failures, but as time went by, I tested it against other brands, and found others brands that were more consistent in hitting point-of-aim and grouping. YMMV

It's good ammo. I have a Ruger LCP and use both brands for range and even carry ammo. All 380's need over 500 rounds for breaking in. I use Freedom 90 gr Hornady XTP when carrying and now since it's well broken in never a FTF, FTE, or any problems at all. Freedom Munitions has free shipping on 380 ammo today.

I use Fiocchi .380 in my LCP as well. Round ball for range and I carry the Extrema XTP round for SD. I've not had an issue ever with either one and my groups are as good at 15 - 21 feet as they are with my Sig P series pistols (and better than with my 3913!). I shoot .380 a lot. I'm on my second case of 1000 rounds and have not had an issue with that firearm with any ammo ever.

In my research, I found the XTP bullet to be a top performer on either the Extrema cartridge or the Precision One variety. I never can find Precision One ammo in stock. I can always seem to find the Extrema.

Both of my Bodyguard .380 guns digest Fiocchi with no problem.

At least one of my Bodyguard .380 guns does not like GECO (hard primer).

Now I just need to see I should save $10 and get the Freedom Munitions .380 with their 5% off sale a free shipping or just stick with the Fiocchi

I just ordered some Freedom Munitions remanufactured 380 with XTP bullets. Planning on using them for range practice then will carry Hornady Critical Defense. Haven't tried either yet, but the idea is that the FM with XTP would behave similar in my LCP since they have a similar bullet shape to the CD bullets.

That crossed mind too... hmm Anyone have any experience with that ammo ?

I have no experience with Fiochhi in 380, but the 2 boxes of 9mm that I purchased a few years were the only 2 boxes that I'll ever waste my money on. Their stuff was super dirty, had several fte and absolutely no consistency at the range.

Needless to say I'll never shoot Fiochhi ammo again.

On the other hand, I've been shooting Freedom Munitions for about 2 years, and probably have shot close to 10,000 rounds of their reloads in 9mm and 5.56 and only had maybe 2 issues that I can recall within that round count.
