Fire Breathing Dragon ! (.44 Target Model of 1950)

Awesome start!

Just my guess: after engraving was completed, it had to be reblued and the artist chose this darker appearance to further highlight the work.

David, I was about to post something similar… "reblued" is not really a consideration here as the gun had to be finished after it was engraved, and since this was not factory engraving, blue afterward ("reblue") would be a necessary part of the process. I don't think it detracts at all.

I'm somewhat conflicted over the finish of the hammer and trigger. If they had the original, vibrant case colors from the factory, they might well clash with the look of the engraving. I'd leave them as is in deference to the intentions of the artists involved. JMHO, of course. I like it regardless.

I want that gun for my next BBQ. What are you going to do for a holster. That will be a challenge.

Double alpha open holster...at least you see all of the engraving. Why did he engrave over the turnline where the cylinder stop is riding? That should not be.

Thank you, Richard (RKmesa)!

Its high praise coming from a guy with your EXQUISITE collection!

I share your sentiment.

However, my modest collection pales in comparison to yours.

Thank you very much for you kind words.

Kind regards,
David McNulty

Well, since it has been reblued, it drastically reduces its collector value...being the generous sort and taking pity on you, I will give you $500 for it... shipping included, of course.

I like it.

Robert

I'll go $510. And shipping included as well.
