FIRE MISSION - Virginia - Comment on permanent state-agency gun ban!

Needless to say, **** like this is NEVER permanent -- all depends on who is in office--- all can be overturned, or just voted out-- their latest ploy is to ban almost 30 state permits -- and this fool of an AG wants to run again in 2017 -- these people were elected by the slightest of margin by the Northeastern section of the state-- GET OUT AND VOTE FOLKS -- I remember some years back, the current Gov. at that time closed many of the rest stops in VA. Now just how stupid is that--- but, he was elected to a state senate. Yes, by the same fools who voted for the current idiots in office. JMHO of course.

Never mind the geographical breakdown, just the inner core of NoVa is 2.3 Million people. Fairfax county and co-located Cities by itself probably outnumber all the rural Counties combined.

Simple English: McAuliffe's executive order affects offices and buildings that fall under the aegis of Virginia's executive branch.

Nothing more, nothing less at this time.

Hope he ain't related to Anthony? I'd hate to see a jerk like him ruin a great last name.

In all seriousness, I thought you guys had some kind of org that would stand up to that kind of garbage.

The VCDL (OP) is a great grass roots organization that is out to protect the rights of Virginia citizens. They truly have our backs. I don't want to turn this into a political discussion and get this thread locked so I'll leave it at that.

I thought VA was a fairly conservative state. How did this moron get elected?

Northern Virginia: hundreds of thousands of DC liberals that live (and vote) in this state. Also, a Libertarian plant siphoned off a few votes

We came so close last gubernatorial election :'(

Dang, I must've missed that VA-ALERT.

Kind of off-topic, but I'm going somewhere with this...

I went to a Senate committee meeting today and listened to and participated in the discussions about some of the gun bills. It was really neat to get involved and I was glad to be a part of it.

Anyways, tomorrow there is a House committee meeting to discuss more bills. Some bills on the docket will overturn the Gov's bans and strengthen reciprocity, due to the AG's deal.

These will ultimately end up getting vetoed, but it's still an improvement. It's good to know that legislators are working FOR us.

BTW, 2A carry passed the committee today. The only downside is it won't override the current preemptions as CHPs do.
