Well, after looking for over 12 years, I finally found a 1006 available in mint (50 rounds fired) condition with box (correct serial number), manuals, 5 magazines, and a holster. I have owned many 10mm's in my time, but this is by far one of my favorites! I am picky about my firearms, and this one has the fixed sights.

I have since put 200 rounds through it and it shoots like a dream. Extremely accurate too. I hope others out there who enjoy their 1006's can relate.

It's a good life,
Jason

The 10XX series is great. I carry my 1066 daily and it is a accurate weapon that shoots a great round. Be warned, 10mm handguns are addictive.

We would like to see a picture of your 1006.

Fire,

That's an understatement. I have owned a Delta Elite and still own an EAA Witness Stock in 10mm. It's a good thing that I reload!!!

I have been interested in looking at the EAA witness in 10mm. However I have seen 50% good and 50% bad reviews. What are your experiences with it?

I've had two Colt Double Eagles over the years and still own a "First Edition". The gun shoots excellently. I really love the 10mm and will buy more in the future. Funny, the 610 revolver has never appealed to me as much as say a Mdl 58 or 35. I love them all, but really like 10mm autos.

1006

The 1006 just rocks IMHO. It's simply my favorite pistol to shoot.

I have the EAA Witness Stock and it shoots like a dream. The Stock series is the EAA hand fitted pistol that has a coned target barrel. It's accurate and can be shot/carried SA or DA. I have not had a single flaw, and 15 rounds of ammo in the mag is wonderful-but you need graham base pltes to realize the full 15 rounds (I never bought these, so only one of my mags actually holds 15 rounds, only 13).

It is a great SA platform w/DA capabilities. It just doesn't sing for me, so I am selling it for $850 w/4 mags, case, and paperwork.

I had a S&W 1006. I loved it. It shot like a laser beam was guiding the rounds. I wish I still had it.

Have a 1006 and a 1066.

Agree the 1006 is a tack driver. Son and I were hitting 5" plates off a bag at 80 yards with handloads.

Soon you'll start looking for the rest of the 10XX line to go with your 1006.

I bought my first ever Glock, the G29 because of that 10mm thing.

It's a sickness I tell you, a sickness.

I thought about selling my 1006 , then reality sets in (my wife with a frying pan saying NO! )

Just got back a few minutes ago from private trading into a very clean 1006 adj. sights, NS on the front. Now have 1066, 1076 and 1006. Do I have a problem???

Yes, but you're in good company with the rest of us. :D I have the 1006, 1066 and 1076 myself and would like to get a 1026 to go with them. One day I will.

I just fired mine the first time yesterday, it has been at least a dozen years since I fired a 1006. I really like the damn thing! I have a handload that I was working on using a 135gr. plated bullet and some Alliant Power Pistol powder that I really like in this pistol. Low recoil but a big blast and flash and seemingly very accurate, even though I am out of practice for quite a while. I just ordered 1K more bullets to load up a quantity of this for the future.
