I like the M60 Chiefs Special but wanted to make it more comfortable for carry. Thank goodness for guys like me there are shop manuals by J. Kuhnhausen.

In place of the MIM hammer and trigger are a forged bobbed hammer and a smooth stainless steel trigger for DAO. Next will be some nicely grained wood stocks/grips.

A bobbed hammer on a J Frame is an absolute necessity IMHO. Shooting with pocket revolvers should be practiced DA all the time.

Recommend Spegel grips, colored insert in front sight, and a SimplyRugged inside/outside holster for that little rocket.

Nice looking work. +1 on the Kuhnhausen manuals. Something else as instruction, in the Jerry Miculek video on Trigger Job. He takes you step by step through disassembly to stoning.

Just a thought but on that model 60 you shouldn't have had any MIM parts. Looks good gives me an idea for mine also, did you buy the bobbed hammer or cut it.

I'm pretty sure the hammer and trigger were MIM parts. Is there a way to tell for sure? I'm judging by appearance.

The hammer is factory original obtained from Gunbroker, as was the trigger.

They should have both looked like the new trigger - SS. What - # is on the crane ( 60 - ? ). Someone on here will know what is correct, I just dont think a hammer mounted firing pin would be on a MIM part, but I'm no expert.
