I don't tend to do too much target practice in the winter weather up here. Today was a gorgeous day, and it seemed like a perfect day to bring my 8 year old to the new range I joined. I brought my .22lr AR carbine and his Marlin youth single shot .22. I set up a reactive spinner target at about 7 yards for him to practice trying to hit. This is only his 2nd time to the range, and most of his shots were off. Over the course of an hour or so, he was hitting the spinner more and more, until it was just about every shot. What a proud papa I am!
I sighted in the carbine with a 2x Aimpoint red dot. What a great shooter! My son got to shoot it towards the end of our trip, and he REALLY liked the red dot. And the collapsible stock made it easy for him to shoot, too.
Sorry, no pictures, we were too busy having fun.
