Finally was able to get my hands on a new SD40VE and was able to make it out to the range this morning. Overall I'm VERY pleased with this pistol. Had no issues out of over 150rds FMJ as well as JHP. Going to take it back out next week to get another 150 or so rounds through it so an probably start carrying it after that. Only real issue I had was that I haven't shot 40S&W in a long while an the pistol was rather snappy feeling to me (use to 9mm). After a little while from shooting I had a nice rubbed red spot on the web of my hand. Don't know if this was due to possibly an improper grip on my part (I haven't pistol shot in over a year) or what. An my shot's were stringing to the left, I'm sure that was from me but not sure why. I'm use to shooting 9mm when I did shoot pistols a while back. Also noticed the wrist hurting a bit also. I think I might have to get one in 9mm also 
. All in all I'm happy with it proved very reliable and accurate. Perfect combination for a defensive pistol. Let me know what you guys think!
