Collecting S&W's can be a lot of fun... some I shoot and some I don't. Finding various accessories to go with them can also be rewarding. Here's a grouping I just finished putting together.
I bought this M&P model in early December from one of the S&W Forum members, Canoeguy. It's an M&P model as issued to the Royal Hong Kong Customs & Excise Department. The backstrap is stamped C&E 1830. The lanyard ring came with the revolver and is typical of the Hong Kong police issues. The holster is a RHK Police issue that I got from one our our Australian S&WCA members. Thanks, Peter!
The Customs & Excise department was not only responsible for collecting duty revenues but protected Hong Kong against smuggling and detecting narcotics trafficking. They had a similar role as our US Customs Department.
After 156 years of British rule, including the "99 year lease", Britain returned Hong Kong to Chinese control on July 1, 1997.
