I have a 627 Pro, I procured Jerry Kuhnhausens manual.
It is a bit different since he talks about forged hammers and triggers and I have MIM hammer and trigger.

When I pull the trigger, the DA sear starts levering the hammer back but after a bit of pull the force/levering transfers to the botton notch of the trigger and to the corner right below the SA sear. So basically the lower notch in the trigger and the bottom part of the SA sear are levering/letting off the hammer.

If I undestand correctly the hammer is supposed to be released with the DA sear and the two parts that I mentioned are supposed to clear?

I inlcuded the picture with the parts out.

Is that how it is supposed to be or is the DA sear meant to release the hammer?

The DA sear only serves to lift the hammer until the second hook of the trigger engages the foot of the hammer. What you see is how S&W revolvers work regardless of frame size and MIM or forged.
