Went out to the most excellent Triple N FWC range this morning. haven't fired a shot since May. I didn't call the doc for permission. When I got there I thought they were closed, but then the gate would be locked. Only brought 1 box of 20 55gr Fed M 193 and my Interarms MKX. hadn't fired this rifle in 13 months. I only shot on the 100 yd range as I couldn't possibly walk 200 yds 6 times. My 02 went down to 87 a couple times as it was. Since I was there alone RO let me walk down to the target after 5 rds. A horizontal line about 6" wide but 2 bulls, 2 10's and the lone 9. The next 15 yielded 8 bulls and 7 10's which for me is OK when I'm well. I had to sit and breathe often, they wouldn't allow my 02 tank on the line. No argument there. Next time they offer to roll me out to the targets in the golf cart I'll say "Yes."

On the pistol range I shot my Ruger MKII 4 3/4" terribly at 50 ft. I cannot control my breathing at all and was all over the targets. I didn't take a pic. Good thing I only brought an almost empty box with 108 rds in it.
Then, the reason for the trip, I broke out the brand-new CZ P07 that I finally decided would replace my 6906, someday. I'll post impressions in "other brands" so as not to run afoul of rules. Let's say I'm impressed even if I can't shoot worth ****. Weak grip and no breath control. Here's 2 targets with 30 rds each (only brought 109 rds), mostly D/A (decocker model) at 50 ft.

By 11:30 I was whipped, packed up and got to the truck for some 02 tank "rescue." Today is exactly 11 weeks since the start of symptoms. Today is also the 1st real "outdoor recreation" since July. I can't express the extent of my gratitude to be able to decide to shoot guns and be able so relatively freely, a right denied to 90% of the world's population. I am doubly grateful just to be here after losing a friend I've known for 25 years 2 weeks ago to the virus. He was a youngster at 61. Joe

Congratulations on being able to take a range trip and condolences on the loss of your longtime friend.

Also enjoyed your post in the other category regarding new acquisition.

Many of us have not been to the range in a long time, and we salute you.

.....Many of us have not been to the range in a long time......

I think it was May for me. Conserving ammo is dampening shooting for many. An hour after opening time there are usually lots of folks, especially with highs of 90*. I was the 1st "paying customer" on both the rifle and pistol ranges. I'm fortunate that "local shooting season" starts when it's too cold for anyone above 32* North Latitude. Joe

Feel your pain. Was down the month of May with the virus. Shot to renew my HR 218 license yesterday. Scored 32 points lower than this time last year. No strength.
