Folks,
I am brand new to this forum, so please be gentle, especially after you read about what I am trying to do...
I have had S&W revolvers in the past, but am new to pistols. The one pistol I am starting to build is a modification of the 39-2, as made by S&W for the US Navy SEALS during the Vietnam war. Yes, I am trying to duplicate the Mk 22 Mod 0 "Hush Puppy."
While I make have a faux Mk 3 can made later, the main part I am looking for is an extended 5" barrel which I can have threaded on the muzzle end for the original thread of 1/2-20tpi. Finding the extended barrel, or even a custom barrel maker willing to do such work, has been challenging...
Does anyone have any leads or ideas? Thanks...
