The first new revolver which I purchased was a S&W Model 19, Blue, 4 inch, Target Hammer, Target Trigger with Target Grips. I believe that I paid $189 in 1973. I sold it to purchase a S&W Model 27, Blue, 5 inch, in Wooden Presentation Case, for $250 NIB. Wish that I had kept both, but sold in a Divorce Sale.

What's your point?

I believe he was trying to share with us his experiences with S&W revolvers. Some of us, having been divorced, understand. I buy and sell firearms as a hobby. Some I keep, most yours down the road for others to enjoy.

Did not know a "point" was needed to make a post.

My first was also a Model 19, blue with a 4" barrel, and target stocks.. Probably a -4, but I knew nothing of such things in those days. I bought it new, late 70's or so. IIRC I paid about $250.00 give or take a few bucks.

I traded it off on a Colt GM in 45 when I got bit by the IPSC bug a couple of years later. Didn't take me long to figure out I wasn't going to be much of a threat to Mickey Fowler or any of those other cats.

Both were excellent configurations for their frame size.

Sometimes the hardest part of the Shooting Sports or collecting is keeping things in times of financial hardship

To this day I miss the Beretta BM62 that I used to shoot in Highpower Rifle, but cash flow forced me to part with it

His Point was Use caution who you Marry.
Should that not be . . . . Use caution who you Divorce :)

...and proud to record my second "Like" on this thread. Thank goodness that I haven't needed a specific "point" for everything I've posted!!

You keep posting "Glimmerman" by and large, we're pretty chill here...…..and you can learn a whole heck of a lot in the process of having a good time!

My first Smith and Wesson revolver is a model 64 in factory DAO, posted elsewhere on this forum. It was a bag of parts when I got it, but it turned into a sweet, sweet shooter. Scratched up, but soooo smooooooth.
