I have never bought a gun on the web, but I am finding guns that I want. I have bought several things off ebay in the past, so I have a little experience in online auctions, and I have read the rules about gun transactions. I have found a gun that really looks good. The seller has about 300 transactions and a A+ rating. The only things that kind of intimidate me are that it's a one day auction, and it looks like all his other auctions are, and he doesn't mention any return policy. I need opinions.

A lot of sellers do one day auctions to keep their item on the front page or near the front page. Certainly e-mail them and ask about returns.

I checked the seller's history, and all the auctions I saw were 1 day and the prices of the other items were fair also. I'm at the edge of the diving board, looking down. Somebody push me.

300 transactions ? If his feed back is OK, I'd tend to email him with specific concerns ( like return/inspection policy) and give him a try if it feels kosher.

If it doesn't feel right, I avoid it.

I've had nothing but good luck on GunBroker. I, like you, check the feedback, etc. With 300 transactions and an A+ rating, I'd go for it. I would email him/her and ask about a 3 day inspection though...
