First time out with Shield - Range Report

First time shooting my Shield, and at the same time doing a side by side with my XDs 9mm. Must say I’m quite impressed. A group like that at 7 Yards first time out, I would expect from a my M&P Pro Series, or an XDm 9mm, or a Glock 19 or a PPQ – but not a sub-compact.
At 7 Yards the Shield destroyed the XDs, but at 10 Yards the XDs did slightly better than the Shield. Again this is the very first time with the Shield, so is not a true test in how I shoot both.
I do like the XDs fiber optic front sight better. It contrasted far better against a mostly white target. As for as triggers, I hated the Shield trigger during dry fire practice, but during live shooting it felt fine. The Shield because the grip is smoother did jump around just a bit more than the XDs with its aggressive grip, which held solid.

Put them on my wife's shield.
Makes a difference for sure!

On my shield I choose Pachmayr slip on grips, cheap, comfortable & works for me.
