Hi All,
I am new to the forum and to Smith & Wesson revolvers, but not to shooting. I have a acquired a 686 Plus No lock (686-5) and have a question. Please forgive my ignorance! While dry firing, I can feel the spring (not sure of the correct term) "hitting" the back strap. I guess a better description would be I feel something striking the rear of the grip itself where the palm of my hand grasps the gun. I have pulled the grip off and, to my untrained eye, all seemed well. Is this normal or should I be concerned? I must add I have not fired the weapon as yet. Any help is greatly appreciated!
