Finally made it out to shoot my new 686+. All I can say is wow. The trigger pull, especially in SA is outstanding. Great accuracy that I'm sure will get better the more I shoot it. Love the fit and finish, especially the look and feel of the wood grips. Had to take the shield 9mm along also.

The first and only time I shot my 686-6 was at a paper plate at 100 ft with .357 loads.
The results were less than impressive.
I just picked up another 686 with a high patridge front sight and a Millet rear sight and a 2lb trigger.
I am really looking forward to shooting this one.

Yes, I think the Model 686 is the most popular revolver, nothing scientific, just my observation. May it serve you and your heirs well. Now you "have to" get a Model 586 if you do not have one.

Can't get it any time soon but a 4" 586 is definitely on the list. 6 rnd six shooter for me

This was my first 686, its a -6 and was a limited issue "Stocking Dealer Exclusive". I believe there were fewer than 400 of these made.
I just picked up this 686. I'm really looking forward to shooting this one.
