This one dates to November of 32.
They were only made from 1932-35.
They have a very neat cartridge loading mechanism. It lifts and aligns the shell without
Damaging the front or rear of the cartridge and the bolt pushes it straight in.
I love old .22's so this one should be fun.

I've got two of the Model 34's. One from the first year of manufacture and one from the last year of manufacture. I absolutely love them. They are so fun to shoot and for a semi auto very light weight, at least compared to my Winchester Model 63's. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing in those old Model 34's. I've never experienced a mechanical failure with either rifle.

I heard they were expensive to make and that is why they had such a short produiction run.

Yes being an expensive gun during the great depression was tough I'd imagine.
We were just out shooting it and some other .22's starting the year out right.
The 34 just couldn't miss center going to be a squirrels worst nightmare.
