Has anyone used the Fist thin or ultra thin kydex iwb holster?

Im looking for the thinnest IWB holster that you can buy and ive read that it is one of if not the thinnest.

Just curious if anyone can confirm that or has any recommendations for the thinnest iwb holster.

Thanks

I can't comment on his thin kydex as I do not own one. But, I can say that the quality he his work is outstanding. I own one of his Hybrid (kydex covered with leather) holsters and it is very well made and does just what I need it to.

The problem with thin kydex holsters is they are more prone to damage/breakage.

Something to consider.;)

You did not mention what firearm this was for. If it's a small handgun, the all kydex style holster can work. They are nice if you get an "over the belt" type clip if you need to insert and remove your gun several times a day.

My problem with this type of IWB holster is that most have a single belt connection and over the course of the day they walk on my belt some as I move so I need to adjust them. I don't need to remove and insert the holster many times during the day, so I lean towards a holster type with two connection points to keep it stable.

I choose the hybrid style since they are stable and the kydex sheath functions like a reinforced mount for one handed re-holstering. They are easy to draw from (even if soaking wet) and fairly inexpensive. The most thin of the hybrid style I see are made from horsehide.

I carry a 9c in a hybrid I got from http://www.hiddenfx.com. For the 9c I went with bridle leather and it is still thin and light. Imagine with horsehide it would be even thinner.

The hybrid (Crossbreed, et all) holsters are in fact very thin and comfortable. I have used the FIST ultra-thin kydex for a Beretta Cougar 8045 Compact (not a real small gun) and it worked very well. It is more fragile than normal thickness kydex and I wouldn't expect it to be a holster that lasts forever. That said, it works as advertised. FIST holsters are great and I've had nothing but awesome customer service. I even called once to order a custom rig that was a blend of about three of their holsters. He took the order, made it up for me without charging an arm and a leg, and I think it was probably the best holster I've ever owned and wish I never sold that gun.

Im not worried about it getting damaged or anything. I have a few thicker holsters and OWB holsters, im just looking for specifically the thinnest IWB holster that you can get. I plan to carry this one appendix IWB which is the main reason for wanting the thinnest I can get.

I have read that the Fist Thin or Ultra Thin is probably my best option but was just checking in to see if anyone else has any ones they think might work.

Its for my fullsize M&P 9.

Can't give you specific advice for the full-size. I've never been able to do AIWB with it...I use the compact in a Remora. I can tell you the FIST ultra thin is the thinnest holster I've ever used.

I had two of the ultra thin IWB clips and experienced cracking around the stitching and trigger guard after using them for a while. I used them for a baby Glock in a BUG role. I did not find them to be all that comfortable regardless of the thin construction. I tried to use them strong and support hand AIWB, but found them less comfortable for that than on my hip. On the other hand, a former co-worker saw mine and bought one. He loved it.

I used to think thin equaled concealment, but have since concluded from my own experience that "design" aids concealment as much as, or more than material. I have a Milt Sparks SSII for a full sized M&P and will attest that the holster is as concealable as any, and as comfortable as the day is long. I also currently use a Crossbreed Supertuck for a G26 and while the materials are thicker, they spread the bulk out across the hip for less print.
