I'm considering a Fist model #6 or #14 for a ccw holster for my 4053. Does anyone here have an opinion on Fist in general?

For the #6 holster I would get the reinforcement option.

I'll consider other options too.

Thanks

I have a #12 with the reinforcement and tension screw for my 386 night guard and carry it every day and find it to be very comfortable. It was delivered within the promised time also. I would have no problem ordering another holster from them.

I own about 9-10 holsters from FIST and I think FIST makes a great product with unlimited customization for a good value. They will basically do anything you want. Try asking some of the other custom shops that you want a straight cant holster and they will laugh and say "No way". Fist may not be as pretty as say a Sparks or Rosen holster but neither company will be nearly as flexible than FIST. Buy with confidance!

I'm carrying a 5" 629 in a Fist Kydex/leather hybrid (#3 I think?) canted IWB holster. It's a good one. I just wish that the clip wasn't mounted over the cylinder. It's a good holster.

I have several Fist holsters and use one for my daily carry. Excelent quality and friendly people to deal with. Excelent bag for your buck!

I have a #14 with the snaps in place of loops. I use it to carry a full size 1911 IWB. Yes, it hides very well.

I hope that helps,

Frank
