Here's an M&P .38 Special, Model of 1905 2nd Change, shipped January 1908.

There's a rework "star" and a date showing it went back to factory for some type of repair or work in May of 1914. I can guarantee you that S&W didn't do this "fitz" job!

In addition to the bobbing of the hammer and cutting of the trigger guard, the barrel has been shortened to 3".

The gun came with very worn smooth grips. I was able to get these "diamond" grips from cflier, one of the forum members. They add a lot of "class", don't you think?

Opps, forgot to mention that...

No, there's no front sight... just point & shoot.

Even though I don't have anything nice to say about the gun, I like the
idea behind the picture. I would suggest, however, that the cards should
have been diamonds, instead of spades, to go with the grips !

I appreciate your kind comments, Mike!

There's not a whole lot you can say about it... it's a real son of "gun" !

I actually thought about using diamonds, but from what I've read, and as the story goes, the actual "dead man's hand" was all black cards.

I actually kind of like it.

My own below. Cut down barrel, slimmed triggerguard (semi Fitz), etc.

It shoots, fast DA at 8 yards.

Linda,

I like the stocks on yours. Definitely have the custom to the gun look. Think they put more effort into those then the ones on my Fitz

Hi Linda those grips are perfect for that gun. You have a great eye for composition. Or maybe it's just that diamonds are a girls best friend.

Mark,

+1 about diamonds! I've found that they "go" with just about everything and anything!

The grips are great and add a lot of character.

Thanks,
Linda

Linda, you got it right. Aces and eights, a dead mans hand.

T, when you gonna stop teasing me and sell me that gun?

Now to cut to the chase: What kind of Whiskey is in the shot glass? As good as the gun?

Neat composition to your pictures. I guess I'll have to start putting some thought into mine instead of just shooting them on the table.

Your Fitz looks like it has seen plenty of carry, if not actual use.

Okay, do I make my $30 parts gun into a Fitz? It's made up of mismatched parts and is a great shooter with a smooth action. Would probably just bob the barrel to the end of the lug, new sight and bob the hammer, but might go whole hog and refinish too.

Linda:

Nice photo composition and I like the stocks with that gun - they add a bit of "pimp class" to an otherwise "all business" shooting stick.

Linda;

The grips are a really nice addition and compliment the characted of the Fitz nicely. Your very talented photography never ceases to impress me. Well done, again!

Merry Christmas.
