This is my all-time favorite S&W handgun.... The 5" Mod 27-2.

The five inch N frames in any caliber have to be the best all around compromise for carry, balance and accuracy IMHO. I'm still looking for a 5" Mod. 29-2 to add to my collection.

I admit to having manufactured a couple of these but only because Smith didn't make enough in 5", the best of all barrel lengths.

Hey there,
I believe you have a twin of mine, a 15-3 ?
If so, could you give me an idea of value?
I have model 5K17064; also a 30121 with a 26 in a circle just outside the chamber when open.
Is that one picture showing chrome or stainless steel ? I of late am to understand the nickle is more matte in finish.
I have used this mainly for travel, as I do not need to cock it to fire. However, where I live now in GA I have been able to shoot, and find it much heavier than my .32/20.
The one store I went in to sell it, really low-balled me, and I was also offering a 1863 Zouave and the man showed me internet sites with low, low prices. THAT I had researched and realized he was touting reproductions, so I left the shop. Dunno if it was just him, or 'cause I am a woman, or day before Christmas Eve and I needed money???
At any rate, need a ballpark on my S&W, great condition -
very shiny!! (haha) grips great ,sorry, no camera.
Thanks,
gnat

Old Navy,

That is the 610 I want. What a nice one! The one time I saw a 5" listed for sale I didn't have any disposable income, i.e. gun money. If I ever get the chance again I aim to have one.

It's been fired, but very low round count. I just stumbled on the gun in a gun shop, they had got it from the original owners wife after he went to nursing home from results of stroke. It didn't have but a very light turn ring when I bought the gun, and I have only test fired the gun and it was a real pleasure.

The 610 and a like new Colt Trooper III made in '75 that I found last summer in nickel finish with gold plated hammer and trigger are a dream to shoot, but for some stupid reason I don't. Guess they be just too pretty.

Birmingham got a dusting yesterday - a white Christmas in the south. I'm just NE of Birmingham - we still have snow on the ground & cars (30F now).

I had a 5" N-frame. The best trigger I ever tried in an S&W, but I sold it last autumn.
