This is very interesting. There seems to be an awful lot of different markings to be deciphered.
May be someone could tell me what this means. I realize it’s on a much later revolver but it is interesting at least. The R A S means what?
The newer guns are a real alphabet soup. Roy Jinks has said they are the new crop of assembler/inspector identification code stamps when assembled new at the factory. The 5 digit # on the right might match the assembly number on the yoke and inside of side plate. But it’s normally on the left side of grip frame.
