The Florida Supreme Court upheld the penalties for those who violate the legislature preemption on gun laws.
For years, the law was toothless.
The legislature added penalties for violations in 2011. These were recently challenged. These penalties included removal from office and fines up to $5000, to be paid by the individual, not the government.
These were all upheld on 1/19/23.
