Several FL Universities have decided to scrape restrictions on having guns in cars. After losing a recent case on appeal, several Florida colleges have decided not to appeal the 1st District Court of Appeals decision declaring this policy illegal.
The Fl legislature has declared local government and state agencies can not preempt state law on gun control. These colleges used an exception reserved for school districts (local school boards) to make these rules.
Now we wait to see what the remaining colleges do.
