If you've been following the news, you've no doubt been seeing lots of stories about "flash mobs". Instant riots that seem to have no cause, no fuse, just instant violence. PA, WI and even England. It's hard for me to understand. I get the mob violence in the Middle East where people have been pressed down by authoritarian regimes for decades.

I tell you the truth, this worries me. Maybe its a product of the prolonged recession. Worse, maybe its our society coming apart. Scary.

There was some of this early in the year in Chicago. Very scary stuff. There was a report today about Philadelphia and a curfew to try and stop the violence.
 
This and what is going on in England are examples of why we must do everything possible to ensure our right to keep and bear arms is never lost

You can tell what state the area is in by what the mob does:
Stealing food, water , blankets, etc. = those people really need help, and govt. & other agencies are not providing.

Burning cars, homes, and stealing WS TV's, electronics, etc. = Rat Bag opportunists. (I vote for flash bangs and real bangs."
 
Just make sure your mags are loaded to capacity, I have 2, 30 round mags with me at all times for my EDC .40. I starting to make sure I have my BUG with all it's mags full also. A little 380 with 2, 9 round mags. I'll bet that all it takes is 2 shots and the mob will turn tail. Just make sure you try to get the leader with the first 2.
 
Flash mob? I thought this was about the flash dance commercial where the idiot starts dancing inside a terminal. I had no idea what it was when I saw it so I asked my wife. Even after she explained it to me I still don't understand why people will gather somewhere just to dance at a certain time. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen. I live a sheltered life.

Anyway...........I live in a really small town but still keep one mag loaded. I don't imagine the mob is going to be more than 10 people if there is one.
 
Flash mob? Thats a new term by the media also known as "wilding" or racially motivated attacks in the US.

In Britian, it is the result of unsatisfied people who are not happy being socialists. Evidently the British government ran out of money (other peoples in the form of taxes) to passify the do nothings.
Soon to happen in America. Buy more ammo.

Yesterday in downtown Chicago on the State Street bridge over the Chicago river: Broad daylight literally the middle of the city with thousands of people. A guy walks up behind another guy and shoots him in the back of the head, then shooter walks away. Shot guy was targeted, and must have been hit with small caliber, cause he's hospitalized but O.K.. Shooter got away. Turns out shot guy was shot before, last year on the south side of town. They interviewed friends of shot guy on TV. Unbelievable the cavalier attitude they have about the incident.

I have just a few firearms, so I keep myself wrapped with C-4 and a dead mans switch."Flash Mobs"don't bother me.
 
I'm interested in seeing what happens the first time one of these mobs comes across someone carrying legally. I'll just bet that any "innocents" killed will have been "turning their life around and wasn't armed".

Hopefully it'll be somewhere in Texas, I'm under the impression that Texas Law Enforcement and DA's will correctly interpet a mob as a Deadly Force and rule the shooting as Justified. Then they'll charge any participants caught with 1st degree Murder for the death(s) of their fellow mob members during a Felony. If that were to happen a number of times pretty soon these thugs would start to consider "flash mobbing" as something pretty darned stupid to engage in.
 
I just saw the Fox headlines when I fired up my computer and they finally admit that it "may" be racially motivated.
I've got news for them, it has been going on for years in SE Michigan, especially near Detroit.
I am actually glad that some one has the ya yas to bring this up.
However, it is also a great example of just how slow to react, or behind the times, the news media actually is.

That's why it hasn't happened in Texas, or any other gun friendly state. They know better, so they do it in places like Philadelphia and Milwaukee, where no one (or very few) can be legally armed.
 
Try not to listen to the media regarding anything, including flash mobs. They are morons.

I hope I get to see one of these strange happenings some day. It would be a welcome change to the same old routine! I think my chances of survival are very good, but would not want my family around if one suddenly formed.

Actually, the Wikipedia definition sounds kind of cool to me. Sounds like peacable assembly generated by electronic communication. No violence, just good clean fun. England.....they've had this kind of thing coming for centuries. What goes around, comes around.
 
Peter Fonda is teaching his grandchildren to shoot. That must be driving his sister up a tree. He said, "There's a fight coming between the haves and the have-nots. We're going to be ready." He's right. The have-nots are going to start getting less entitlements. They will then feel justified in "taking what's theirs". This time, I suggest we leave the burned-out rubble lay where it is. Let them live in it for a while.

I can't, won't agree to that train of thought. That type of mob rule is still mob rule. It doesn't matter what your stealing. Theft of somebody's property is theft, no matter what their excuse is for stealing.

The need for justifiable theft doesn't exist in this country. Local agencies can and will help IF they are asked. Dependance on the federal government to provide for you all your needs, no matter what they are, is the foremost contributing reason this country is in the pitiful shape it finds itself in today.

Unions come in a close second. Thieves are thieves no matter what they call themselves.

When we have to pay many times more for a product than it's worth, that's robbing us in any sense of the word theft.

Let those who believe the feds should raise us from birth to death, reach into their own pockets and give till it hurts. Don't reach into mine.

Pennsylvania is a VERY gun friendly commonwealth. Shall Issue on CCW and Castle Doctrine are in effect here. Philadelphia is not "Pennsylvania" as far as many of us are concerned. Philadelphia is just an enclave of New Jersey - the sister city to Camden.
 
I thought a "flash mob" was a bunch of men in long overcoats "sticking it out" to passerby'ers in dark alleys!
 
It's kinda interesting to do a video search for Flash Mob.
