I was revisiting one of my favorite threads on this forum only to discover a bunch of dead photo links. Too bad because there were some really cool photos which inspired me to seek out vintage S&W revolvers instead of Smith's current offerings. As it turns out, looking for them is as much fun as shooting them.

Do you know the history of the parkerizing on it?

Rumor has it, it was carried by a Special Forces Lt. in Vietnam...but then again I started the rumor

Seriously though I bought it off a dealer this way. I do believe it may have seen some military service as there is no indication on the metal that it need refinished. There is no pitting, and all of the markings are nice and crisp.

I bought because I wanted a durable pocket gun and I think this one fits the bill.
