Well, no idea where to put this since i dont think S&W made any. Anyone know a good reference to make a flintlock musket? I understand there are kits out there, seeing which ones are good and if anyone can recommend a good forum?

Jim Chambers makes the best kits do a search for Jim Chambers and you will get lots of examples that are historically correct

Yea ive read about jim chambers. Since this is my first, im looking for cheap kit. When i accomplish that ill definitely be buying jim chambers.

Gotcha. I ended up buying off of knifekit.com i did find a cheaper website oldsouthguns.com i believe. Anyways it was a traditions kentucky rifle. Quite honestly it was only $70 to buy one assembled and ready to fire. I jist wanted one i could "build" for satisfaction. Ill probably end up spending more in time, materials, and frustration than that $70. Cheap kit. If i like it, ill go higher and less finished for more satisfaction and stress!
