Barb,as you probably know there are many denominations of baptist. I suggest you check it out or set up a meeting with him. Or do both. You might be suprised.

I want to join a certain church in the area because I met the pastor at the gun shop and he knows his stuff. I'm not a Baptist though. Do you think it will matter?

I don't think the denomination really matters Barb. What matters is, if you like the church and are comfortable there.

It's always been my feeling that FLIP-FLOPS ARE NOT SHOES!!!!! I see men and women wearing them all over the place, and they are not remotely attractive. Along with that is the idea that wearing sweat pants and torn T-shirts while "out and about" is acceptable. If you can't at least get dressed before you go out, DON'T GO OUT.
