Hi All:
I have a long association with and appreciation of S&W sidearms. Starting back in about 1983, I've owed models: 39, 669 [now a Frankenstein 6906 due to frame failure], SW40F, 686 6" w/recall done, 617, and 586 4" w/o recall done; I still have all but the 39. Both the 669 and 40F are on my newly acquired CCW.
I've been lurking here for a bit and decided to sign up in hopes of gaining knowledge and sharing experiences. In fact, it was through here that I discovered that the new frame for my 669 was indeed a 6906 frame. And though my experience is limited compared to many of you, I hope to be able to contribute meaningfully on occasion.
