Hello "family" & spammer poop-heads,

I am new to this forum and wished to say hello and give a brief explanation for my presence.

Honestly it has been a few decades since I have carried a revolver and I have found a nice 66 I will be picking up on Monday (can't wait !) It is really too nice of an example of the fine S&W sidearms... But I can't not resist.
1 I am out of touch with a really, really good S&W gunsmith and/or factory engraving individual(s) or options for either task.
Looking for State Trooper - Air Marshal type trigger. Wider, and some have "better" grooving + hardened steel.
2. I had a set of factory combat grips with a nice grain pattern before on a large frame and really liked them. If anyone has a line on a good wooden set WITH KNOTLESS GRAIN pattern and symmetric graining please contact me.

Thanks in advance, glad I found you folks, and I hope to be of some positive contribution here also. I have had all types of firearms all of my life and very proficient as a result of lots of expert training in the civilian world and the Marine Corps and lots and lots of rounds downrange. Looking forward to what is in store for me here as well.

Andy & FNG 4 now...

I'm in the mighty metropolis of Dayton...home of Wright Patterson Air Force Base! Went to college at BGSU in Bowling Green, OH near Wauseon. My folks lived in Watterville, OH while my dad was in practice at the Medical College of Ohio now called the University of Toledo Medical Center.

Good afternoon: I am still trying to figure out how to post my first message so thought I would respond to another and perhaps it will be seen. New to the sight and have some questions for the experts. I have my Grandfather's SW .38 Special CTG with the serial number of 438639. My Grandfather carried it when he was a County Sheriff in Iowa during the 1930's to early 1940"s. Can anyone tell me anything significant?

Hit that button you will be a to title a post and write your question in the message space...like you did for the post in here. You'll want to post your question in the revolver section of the forum...better traffic and better insight. Good luck!
