gonna get a ninja or ? want to start getting a healthier diet with the fruits & veggie mix one of these machines can make.
questions :
who has what make and what do you like/dis-like about it !
which give recipes that actually are very good for you , that do not take an hour or a large amount of time to prepare , mix ?
can i get a powerful enough machine for $100-$150 or less ?

as you have guessed by now i am not familiar with these & need some solid reference points . thanks !

I would first commend you for trying to eat and drink healthier but...

I am of the opinion that it will cost you more to buy what you put in the processor than you will get out of it as far as quantity goes.I am basically referring to the "Juicer" where you put a pound of fruits or vegetables in it and get maybe 8 ounces of juice. Not exactly cost effective.

I prefer to keep onhand either some raw carrots, celery, apples or similar to munch on.I tend to think that you will end up spending money on what is basically a fad and will tire quickly.

A lot of foods are actually better for you when eaten whole instead of emulsified.Your body needs fiber to help with digestion.

Sorry to get off track...It should be obvious that I don't own such an appliance nor do I believe in them.

I've been living on a NutriBullet since Dec. 1.
I buy the six pound bags of frozen fruit and bags of mixed berries along with soy protein , flax seed , apples and fresh ginger. twice a day. I can change the mixture a little each day so I don't get sick of it.
I'm a person that doesn't like to eat and i was down to 118lb. and felt like >>>>. Nov. when I got my bloodwork back everything was bad.
So far I've lowered my blood pressure by 30points, lower triglycerides and cholesterol and gained 8lbs.
I do eat a normal supper. Dr. was impressed
Got the Nutribullet at Amazon for $79..... word of advice get a couple extra blades (after market) two for $13.00. the ones that come with the bullet don't last
I take my mixture and put it in the bullet at night for the morning and put it in the fridg. for the morning so i'm not mixing totally frozen stuff then fill it again for lunch. Sometimes I just make a small one for a snack. Try using Riesling instead of water
Don't like it frozen, ends up to thick

+1 on the NutraBullet. I use kale or green cabbage in mine with flax and chia seeds (ground in a coffee grinder), whey protein powder, a serving of almonds (about 20) or 1/3 cup of walnuts, what ever fresh berries I have on hand, almond milk, and water to thin it out. It's like Soylent Green only nobody died. It's sounds disgusting, tastes kind of neutral, and I don't get hungry for 6 or 7 hours...and I always feel really good afterwards. My old diet was mostly cold pizza and left over Chinese food supplimented with candy bars.

appreciate all info

boudiepitbull..... something like you are using may come close . want the convenience of having the mix to provide a good sampling/balance of fruits & veggies and the protein & fiber being in there is a big plus . i am diabetic and have some kidney filtration problems . most of the recipe -cook books are so very hard ... ! to find the time to put together the ingredients, much too time consuming for most people .
i am going to try to use the basic use of the blender to provide me with a meal for a day , at least on some days out of t he week. will still eat meat on some days , trying to stick to chicken some fish & pork . i will not commit to say i will never have a burger again ! but the majority of my eating will conform to better health .
ok ..... anyone use the recipes that are provided with the blender ?
and are there any good ones ?

Recipes not really , but I did use the recipe book to see the different things you can put in it plus theres lots of internet information

and ....

there are a large amount of machines to choose from on amazon . ninja, nutri -bullet , or old trusted names like hamiliton beach ... which ones give lasting service and do the intended job ? !

Check thrift stores: lots of folks buy these things and never use them.

Ninja and Nutri have about the same reviews . warranty with a new one and easy return with Amazon
I chose the Nutri don't know why, but like I said earlier get extra blades their cheap. Been using mine since Dec.1 3 times a day.

A very expensive blender, but the last one you will buy is the Vitamix. I love mine.

^^^^^^This will do everything you want for the rest of your life - it may sound a bit like a snowmobile running through the kitchen at high speed, but I think it could probably turn a real snowmobile into a smoothie in a few minutes!
