For those of you who have owned a 547 4”.....

For those of you who have owned a 547 4" could you please tell me how accurate it was (or is) and out to what yardage. I have thought about possibly buying one someday, just as a range toy. I noticed in pictures that the front blade is fairly wide and have wondered if this makes long distance target shooting more difficult. Also, how close is POA to POI?

I'll chime in. I took one to the range last week and it was very accurate, but with that said, I had mine accurized before I ever shot it.

I have put a bunch of rounds down range with my 3''. Shot up to 25 yards with reasonably combat accuracy. I tend to shoot double action and my gun has to me a rather heavy trigger pull. Gun had a little internal polishing by me, and I'm using the factory grips.

I normally use FMJ in the 124 loading's. To me that seems to be what this fixed sight gun is set at, same deal as the fixed site .38s normally shoot 158 ammo to a reasonable POA.


Accuracy to me is reasonable and the kick seems lighter/easier than most bottom feeders.. No I do not carry it but with my ageing eyes up to that distance is my sweet spot.
