What are you carrying today?

In my pocket in a old Bianchi 152 is my LCRx357. Right side is a Ultratech
OTF Tanto and on the left is a Microtech Dirac Dagger point. Right belt
is a Fennix E06R and right rear pocket a NAA .22 with rat shot. That's today. Tomorrow? I'll wait to see what it brings.
Not going anywhere except around the farm, pouring the rain as it has for days now. Rain is getting real old.

Alex Hamilton tuned S&W 469, daily carried since 1988. Very reliable, light & accurate, no plastic, just rubber uglies.

I'm in Canada and am going to the doctor today to live. So I'm getting my heart taken care of which statistically is what will kill me at 62 not some fictitious gun fight because of what I did or didn't choose to carry on that trip. How many friends have you lost to civilian gun fire versus heart attack/stroke events? Look I'm a pistol enthusiast as much as the next guy. I own 14 pistols, shoot PPC competitively and smith them all. I just don't see the health benefits of carrying a gun in public.
MaverickDMD, I used to feel exactly the same way... until I was robbed at gun point while attending college in inner-city Philadelphia, PA by three gang bangers. I could have easily been killed that night. My family would have been distraught and I would have been dead. Two of my friends were also robbed at gun point. None of us being shot was the result of good luck. We weren't carrying because it was illegal at that time. I hope you never have that experience, Sir.

Tonight out for dinner with the wife, my Colt Pocketlite .380. It's running Buffalo Bore's 95gr +P JHP (+/- 1100 fps), all tucked up close with a cross-draw holster. On the Harley, a Kimber Ultra Carry II running HST's 230gr +P JHP, carried with an Azula leather pancake holster.View attachment 792604View attachment 792605
I would recommend liberty civil defense ammo. 50 grain bullet at 1500 ft./s.
Less recoil with a huge initial wound channel.

Currently living in Moscow and visiting Leningrad and Minsk so I carry an SOCP folder.

Crime is pretty low probably about Canadian levels.

You used to be able to carry a gun and buy a gun however whenever you wanted until about 1969 when the masses rebelled a bit against the bureaucracy.

I might go back to the land of the free for a visit and an extended road trip. Probably carry my Kel-Tec P-32 or something nicer in 22 along with a scout rifle.

The weather has turned a bit warm here in Leningrad so I switched over to my Perrin Le Fruit.

Good for you....

If it has to be explained to you will never get it...

Why is what you're carrying important? I don't care as long as you can shoot it, know its ammunition capability and have a good mind set to protect with proper restraint…

S&W model 36 no dash with Underwood 150gr Wadcutters in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster, along with a Kershaw Ken Onion design folder clipped at top of the same pocket. In winter, it will be my brand new Dan Wesson Vbob Commander Classic, but I have to get it broken in first though.

That's convenient actually; because in Canada, although you are a pistol enthusiast as much as the next guy, own 14 pistols, and shoot PPC competitively, you can't choose to legally carry a concealed handgun for self protection anyway, since your government has already made the choice on your behalf not to carry a gun in public.

I'm going to the ATM later today and will be carrying an M&P .40 in a horsehide Super Tuck, and I'll be taking my wife to a nice restaurant this evening, so I'll be pocket carrying an M&P 9c; because I choose to, and I don't see any health benefits in not carrying a gun in public.

Fair enough.
Something to think about; I keep a couple of fire extinguishers in my home. I don't expect to ever need to use them, but we have a saying - "it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it."
