While Lee is to modest to point this out, I am not. I think Lee and the moderators deserve a big "attaboy".

1066 Users online at once is pretty cool. This is the first time we went over 1000, and we blew right by it. It has been a steady climb since the conversion in June, but somehow this seems special, and worthy of note.

I am sure that in 6 months or a year we will look back with larger numbers in hand and wonder what the big deal was. Right here, right now, it's cool.

I wasn't here yesterday, but as a fellow computer geek (and admin of several forums) I know what an accomplishment it is!! Congrats all around!
 
That is simply outstanding. Not too surprising, but outstanding none the less.

Congrats to Lee, The IT Guy, and the moderators for making this the enjoyable and educational place that it is.

as at work yesterday so could not be a part of this. I think that this is a great forum, and is getting better.
 
I've been on for four years, thanks to a late friend of mine, bluesteelnut, who drew me to join. In that four years, this Forum has grown and changed a great deal, and all for the better. Never met a better bunch of people to share views with, talk guns with, or just whatever. It has become a big part of my life, and my day is not complete without checking it out frequently. Thanks to Lee and all the moderators and other members who make it such a cool place to surf and post opinions. (Even if some of mine haven't been the most well-received in the world). :)

Lee (and the IT Guy) has done a whale of a job here. I didn't think it could get any better but it has. I really like this place.
BTW IT Guy-did you see my Tribute to Handejector post??? had a nice picture of you in it :D

Saturday, the above poster caused such a stir with his tribute to Mr. Lee that everyone had to keep an eye out for the response from the forum owner. Didn't want to miss the fireworks.

Given the effort you've put forth, it is nice to see that there has been such a gratifying result....

At the bottom of the main forum page it lists who is online at the moment as well as the forum statistics. Here are the stats as of this moment:

Threads: 40,543, Posts: 435,724, Members: 53,388, Active Members: 6,169

The number of members equals the number of valid user accounts. Active Members is the number of unique user accounts that have logged in, in the last 30 days. 6169 active members is also a very good number.
 
IT Guy, that's a pretty impressive statistic. Thanks for the part you played in upgrading the forum structure and implementing a bunch of new features. Thanks also to Lee for taking over an adequate but somewhat troubled forum and restoring health and vitality to it. And my thanks also go out to all the members. I learn something new from the entire crew here almost every day. Over the years I have joined a bunch of forums that focus on a lot of different topics, but I kind of come and go at the others. This one is a huge part of my daily routine.
