As I write this post I am patiently sitting at my LGD waiting to clear my background check and take my new Shield home! Scarce as hens teeth in this area(especially the 9mm) and I am one happy camper right now. Been a long wait and even got a small discount.

Darn nice pistol. I have one and really like it. Don't let the hand wringers who are biased toward ported barrels get you down. You did great. I paid less than MSRP but wish I could have done better. They are hard to come by around here as well. S&W is selling every one that they can make. They have a great trigger. I'm sure you will enjoy your new ported shield.
