I had sold this one awhile back for $600 without any grips then traded a post 64 Winchester 94 30-30 and a well worn 870 to get it back again [emoji3]Now I have to decide if I'm going to have apw cogan reblue it or do a brushed hard chrome finish.

I'd be glad to get that one back too. Maybe it's the lighting but the only thing I'm seeing off is the cylinder. Have you tried a light Flitzing and a good wax? If I just had to have it refinished, personally I'd go back with blue but it looks like it's salvageable.

Cool revolver! Add me to the growing list of folks who would simply shoot it and love it. If you want one that looks like a show-stopper, start your search for a gorgeous one. Meanwhile, that one will make noise on range day. A minty one can work security detail inside the gun safe!

I too would just clean that Model 27-3 up as much as possible and get to shooting it. Homely guns can shoot just as well as pretty ones! :)

I'm going to agree with your intuition. It's come back home to you, go with your heart. It's your gun and your story. It will run it's course and live on. I support either. Run and gun it or refinish it to your liking.

Looks pretty good to me. Besides the frame underneath the stocks it's better than my model 19 and I like it a lot. I wouldn't finish it. Now you can put it in a holster and not worry about it. :)
