I was at the sho and a buddy was trying to put together a buy on a 3ed gen 40 and it wasn't working...I had been looking at this 645 on the same table and we were able to bundle it....I didn't get a great deal, but it was reasonable.

I carried a 645 at my first job...started with my model 19...then they transitioned us to semi-autos and I chose the 645...traded it off 3 years later...but have always regreted it...

I can't carry this for work, not on the list...but its good to have one again

It came missing a second or third mag, and the original grips are gone...but otherwise its in great shape...I have always thought that the 2nd gen S&W pistols were the best...heavy but workhorses. Don't know why it took me so long to get one back in my collection

Good snag. I also went back to a gun show today looking for an ever elusive Winchester Mod. 92 in .357 magnum, and literally fell into a1978 Mod. 63 . 22 lr kit gun in excellent shape, with original box, two sets of S&W SB grips, and cleaning gear. Game over. I guess it was meant to be.

Congrats on on a nice find. Just recently picked up one myself and am loving it.

I'm one of those that love the looks of the squared trigger guard and the stepped frame. Adds to the brutish mechanics look.

Enjoy it.

645

I too picked up a 645 recently, I already had a 4506-1;4516 US Marshalls; and a 4566 but I think I like shooting the 645 best.
