Found a NIB 2 1/2" Model 19-5

For ammo in a K 357 I use the Speer 135 Short Bbl ammo. Federal 125s are too hot and will in short order do ugly things to that nice 19.

Nice

Thanks for all the opinions. I think the "Sentry" from Bell Charter Oak Holster is closest to what I need. As far as the price of the gun, I paid $625 for it. I know, kind of steep, but it was the exact gun that I was looking for. Well worth it to me.

Don't worry about the price. You can look forever to find a "deal" and, even if you find it, all you will have accomplished is wasting time you could have used to shoot.

Steve,
Don't feel too bad about the price. About 6 months ago, I paid $500 for a really nice M19 and most on the forum thought I had over paid. Now.....
In any case, the point being that it may seem a bit steep now, but not for long. Nice find!

Nice find! I use the same Don Hume IWB holster for my 66-2 2.5", and at first did not like it. After a while, it has become my all time favorite CCW combo. If you move the holster back to the 4 o'clock position, the grip does not protrude out, at least in my case.

One thing that I am always curious about is why some M19's have RR and WO and others don't. To me, it is the ultimate daytime sight arrangement. In the last year I have found 3 new Model 19's with 2.5" barrel, one 19-5 and two 19-4. All three have the RR WO. I notice yours does not, and wonder why?

Here's the one I found this week...

Top of the heap for a carrygun!! When I got one after a 25 year span of being without one I got rid of all my plastic pistols and auto,s. One fine fight-in- wheelgun. All you need and nothing you don,t. Feeds anything, don,t jam, don,t need magazines and fires a easy to get and reloadable powerfull round. SW and the 357 mag round like bread &butter!!
