Hello, Just took a quick trip to one of the local walmarts and low and behold they had just got in some ammo. I picked up a couple boxes of 9mm and some value boxes of .223. They did not have any .45 or .38. Now I can go out and get some fire time in!

The local Walmarts seem to be a hit-or-miss thing when it comes to ammo. I missed some 9mm last Friday, but found some in another one on Saturday. A few weeks ago, I bought one Federal 223 / 100 pack and thought I'd get another the next day.... all gone then.

+1 centenniel

I hit the jackpot with 9mm at wally world.

40 S&W has been obtainable for the most part.

45 ACP a box here a box there.

A couple weeks back I checked at one near me and they had 50-round boxes of Winchester .38 Special 125 grain +P JHPs for $18 a piece but almost nothing else.

A week later I decided I'd better get some so went back and there were 9mm VPs and these .38s. The manager was there so I asked how in the world he had ammo. He reaches under the counter and says, "I've even got .40s."

He then tells me that they still get weekly shipments of almost everything but it doesn't usually stay in stock past the end of the day. He told me he even had a guy who drives down from the Cities (70+ miles) because this is the only Wal-Mart at which the guy can find ammo.

I picked up 2 boxes of .38s and 3 9mm VPs. Figured I'd leave some for the next person plus it came out to a nice, just over $100 amount. I snaked a Benjamin and a couple of ones from their hiding spot in the wallet and away I walked.

Keep checking in and try to befriend the manager, maybe he/she will let you know when to be there for first dibs.

I checked out local Wally world last night. The handgun ammo was case 3' wide 6' tall maybe 8 shelves. 10 assorted boxes 22 cal and 6 box 25 auto only stock. That's it pretty sad

This morning at the Walmart on Frye Rd in Houston, I found Win 5.56 55 gr @ 9.97$/box. The Manager told me they had never had this ammo before. They had about 40 boxes; I bought 20.

yesterday I lucked into getting 3, 100 round WWB boxes of 9mm for $20.00/box. I bought 3 of them and they still had 9 boxes left. Went back today and nothing......

I'll say this for Wally World... this week I bought two boxes of 100 9mm FMJ WWB for just $20.97 per box, about the same as they were selling it for six months ago. It was all they had in the store. Today at the range where I'm a member they finally got some ammo in. They had plenty of Remington 9mm 115gr FMJ and it was $17.98 per 50. Several dollars more than just a few months ago. Wally World is not jacking the prices as much as most people.

I just got home from wally world and took the last 2 boxes of winchester 9mm. the first of it ive seen in about 3 weeks!

I have randomly picked up 357 shells from our local store and at a non inflated price around $20 a box of 50. More recently I've seen an intense run on .22 ammo, actually non to be had. I called this morning and the guy in sporting goods said he had got in a few bricks , I went down an he had 8 bricks @ $14.49 each and was limiting it to 2 bricks per costumer, that was at 9 am by 10 they had none. It's not only big caliber shells but .22 now as well. All that said Wally World isn't gouging, they seem to stick to thier normal pricing.

One nice thing about .357 Sig is that it has remained intermittently available and the price hasn't really climbed all that sharply on it. Since less people are using it, there's a tad less demand, yet the ammo factories still need to do runs of it for LE and agency users.

At the Rockbridge Walmart in Lilburn Ga this morning- WWB sighting! 9mm,.45,.40,.38 spec, and even the rarely seen .380! All in 100 roun value packs, all at previous pricing except the 380. Is it really reasonable for 380 to cost more than .45. (All are hardball of course)
FYI $31.87 for 100 95 gr 380
29.87 230 gr 45
19.97 115 gr 9mm

checked the 3 walmarts in my area and on the last one, they had BB in 9mm/40 & 45. They actually had 3 cases of 9mm and the guy in front of me bought 2 cases of 9mm, 10 boxes of 40 and 5 boxes of 45. All for $661.00 out the door.. Of course I bought the last case of 9mm so the guy said, oh well that lasted about 2 hours on the shelf...

Its out there, you just have to keep checking...

I checked my local today - kinda as a joke - WOW nothing there such a surprise but seeing some replies "bought all they had" wonder why?

I had a similar experience today:

Called a local Walmart that occasionally has some Blazer Brass 9MM in stock. The clerk in Sporting Goods checked and reported back that they had 3 boxes left.

I drove over hoping that the 3 boxes would be left. When I walked back to Sporting Goods the clerk was checking out a customer with 8 boxes of Blazer Brass 9MM. There was 1 box left on the shelf.

Evidently the clerk had "put back" the 8 boxes for this customer. When I asked, the clerk stated "he comes by every morning and buys 9MM".

I think this stinks to high heaven!!!!

I live in central PA, but travel throughout the state for work. I have collected about 20 boxes of 40 S&W Blazer Brass in about 2 months. Not a hoarder, I like to shoot, but don't currently reload. Plus, I just bought a new M&P and need to put her through the paces. Anyway, the most I found at any one store was about eight boxes. I bought six and left two for the next guy. The most of any caliber that I found was 9mm Blazer Brass. A Walmart within 20 miles of my home had about 25 boxes at one time. I do not currently have a 9mm, and do not have plans to get one in the immediate future, so I passed. But I did call a friend who recently acquired a 9mm and he immediately drove over and bought 10 boxes. Thats how stock depletes so quickly. But it just seems to be luck of the draw right now. I can still find 40 S&W at a lot of places but most of it is $18-$21 a box. Better believe I am starting to save my brass.

Elk Grove Wal-Mart...
Went there this morning.
They still have about 20 to 30 WWB 9mm Value Packs on the shelf. $19.97/100 rds.

After three months of hunting I finally found
some WWB .45acp Value packs.

I tried 2 Wally Worlds last night no 38, 9mm, 40 or 45.

I just invested in Miller beer. The price has not gone up (yet) and still a supply. My cigars did take a cost increase

Can't shoot just sit in the backyard smoke drink a beer and read old gun magazines

Just bought 150 rounds of Blazer Brass 9mm at the local Wally today at lunch for $8.97 per box of fifty. Thought that was a really decent price. Should have bought every box I could afford I guess.

At a WalMart near me, this Blazer Brass 9mm was 7.97 $/50-rd box about two months ago. It was increased to 8.26 $/box and increased again to 8.46 $/box last week.

I live in a small town with 3 Wally Worlds, and one Academy Sporting Goods. Kinda got tired of the Lottery game. So went online got 1000 rds. of 45 230gr. FMJ for 399.00 delivered. I'm not real choosy about brand names, it only has to feed my 1917/1937 Brasilion. I got alot of everything else, seems high but seems like this is the way things are going to be for a long while.

The one on Madison Blvd near Wall Triana has had the same 3 boxes of 357 sig for a while. The Sparkman Dr Walmart usually has .40, which works out well for me.

Friend of mine on another site was talking about people hoarding ammo. He didn't think too much of it. A couple of days later he said his girl friend was in a Walmart and found 10 550 round boxes of Federal bulk 22, I think it was. He told her to buy it all. He is now talking about how he got 5,550 rounds. So much for leaving a box on the shelf for the dad that wanted to take his kid out for a weekend of shooting his .22.

Fellow at the range last night reported the Lockport, IL Wally-World had 9mms. I don't need any at this point, but it's probably gone by now anyway.

Walmart in CT. Newington has nothing. Wallingford has some 40s&w, 7.62x39 and some odd rifle rounds. No 9mm, 45, 223 or 22lr.

It has been like that for a few weeks.

Last weekend I wanted to try out my "new to me" 59...went to three WallyWorlds and ProBassShops...my efforts yielded 0 boxes of 9mm. I ended up paying $22.00 for 50 rounds of Sellier & Bellot at the range.
