I'm so irritated right now! The same shop I got my 642 from now has a 637 in for the same price! I wish I would have waited, I wanted a 637 in the first place but needed a carry gun (my edc is being repaired as I type this). Unfortunately my gun fund is pretty much zero right now or I'd be getting the 637 also.
I really like the 642, and I do pocket carry it quite a bit so it does make more sense. I kind of forgot I wanted the 637 until I saw it on their site. I'll probably wait until I come across a used 360 again before I get another J frame but I still wish I could get the 637.

If it were a no-lock 637 or especially a 637-1 (J-Magnum, +P frame), there's no way I could have walked out without having at least put it on layaway.

Lay - away ... the shop should be willing to work with you .

My 637 is one of my favorite's ... Get It !

I agree… if it’s a no-lock, get it somehow. I would recc keeping the 642 also tho.

magnum0710,

Be sure to note mikerjf's recommendation. Many of us have learned that lesson the hard way.

BTW, you may already be starting to learn how some of us end up owning a number of guns that is embarrassing everywhere except on this forum, and even here we seldom mention the actual number.

Welcome to the club!

You can always buy the new one and sell the one you recently bought.

Post 1,
Not-having-enough-money is likely common to most of us. Hang in there. Someday you'll get the one, currently out for repair, back; and the 642 is a great J-frame (my 1st S&W bought; now owning nine S&W revolvers).
