Dont give them yours... Give them your deceased relatives. The State one only requires a name, until you go to claim it.

I'm not going to waste my time on potential pennies. I got an email from a friend of a cousin's brother's neighbor's dog groomer currently living in Nairobi who assured me $MILLIONS will be transferred into my bank account next week. I have been offered untold millions from people overseas that I never heard of if I will give my personal info and a small charge to get it started. There is not a week that goes by that I don't get several offers. I guess I am just lucky.

I was going through my mail last week and had an envelope from American Express. Nearly pitched it unopened because I figured it was an offer for a card. Opened it and it was a check for nearly $50 relating to a card account I had closed back in 2007.

I checked my name on the North Carolina state treasurer unclaimed money site, I had over $900 waiting for me from a real estate sale a few years back. Took a couple of months to get it, but I'm sure glad I checked.
I also checked the names of two friends who moved out of state. They both had money waiting for them, utility refunds or something or other from property they'd rented or owned.
If you don't check, you may be losing money.

If you had an authentic STAINLESS 5" 27-2,you wouldn't NEED to find any money. You'd already have it.

If you had a Metropolitan Life Insurance policy back in the 60' s- 70's you may have some stock you didn't know about. There was a lawsuit and policy holders were issued stock. but a huge % of the policy holders were never notified. It sat there growing in value until it reached the statute limit and had to be turned in to the state. I found out that way, and had $4500 which I collected. When I contacted the state, the individual I spoke with told me nearly 1/2 of the "abandoned" money was from that Metropolitan lawsuit. There was a 2nd case, which I also collected, and it was a $.03 balance on a closed out account. They sent a check!

I was checking on-line using my Fathers name and discovered that he had a .00000165% of unclaimed ownership in an oil well. Not much but - free money in any amount is always good.
