I forget what I have in my ammo storage for the 9mm but today I found some factory ammo I didn't remember I had for a long time now. It was in the hall closet we use as a coat closet.

In the box was:
10 boxes of 50 115gr FMJ Remington Range ammo.
3 boxes of 50 115gr FMJ Sig Elite Performance ammo.

Now the good stuff...
10 boxes of 20 124gr Remington Golden Saber ammo.
6 boxes of 50 124gr Speer GDHP ammo.
3 boxes of 50 115gr Winchester Silveetip ammo.

In today's buying environment that is one neck of a find. I don't remember exactly when I bought it all but I seem to remember the prices were very low like 9mm ammo should be and was back 5+ years ago.

In another box was a bunch of 30-06 surplus ammo I got from a huge gun auction buy locally. There is 140 rounds of 150gr FMJ ammo made in Bridgeport Connecticut in 20 round white boxes which cost me $25.00 in total. Also, a plastic bag with 48 blanks that cost me $1.00. I know the prices because the ticket is still in the box for the 2 lots I won dated 11/26/2019! There was also a ton of reloading tools and components, literally. Bullets were selling by the skid in lots of 100,000 bullets plus. There is more but that is water under the bridge now...

This is better than Christmas as a child.

Several weeks ago I discovered 3000 old LP and SR primers I had stored in an outbuilding years ago and forgot about. Plus 1000 209 shotshell primers.

Gotta love Christmas in June...:)

I used to be in the habit of stashing a $100 bill in the pockets of my regular use coats, and in my vehicle, "just in case" money to get home.

Couple years ago, I took an old 1980's "duster" canvas coat of the closet I hadn't worn in 20 or more years. Tried it on, then started going thru the pockets. Yep, $100 bill folded up in an inside pocket. Pulled out the rest of my old jackets just to be sure, but no more free money....:(

Not necessarily appropriate to this forum, but I was cleaning part of the basement and found a flat (100 rds) of Federal 20 ga loaded with 7 1/2s and two 25 rd boxes of Winchester with the same size shot. I have dabbled with skeet a couple of times, so apparently I bought and stashed these at the end of one of my “dabbles”. They were still in the plastic shopping bag from the gun shop.

Just the 10 boxs of Rem 9mm GS, would make my day...........
Got to love it when you open something up and you find.....
the Boogy Man or an Angel.

I think you need to hit the recliner and have a "Cold one" in your hand,

That’s like finding a few gold bars; congratulations on your new found fortune…! ;).

I recently found another wooden box of bullets They were 38 wadcutters in round paper tubes. 91 tubes with (I think) 20 bullets to a tube. I paid the fellow 10 bucks for them. Last one I got like this was given to a friend from Md. The fellow gave me about 400 pieces of 38 brass/100 primed to load 'em with. All was wadcutter target brass. I am going to use these bullets.

I see I'm not the only one who "puts stuff away" and find it later on. I reload so I can make 9mm ammo but with the price and availability of components this was a great find. (especially the SD ammo)

As for the 30-06 ammo, score! The brass alone is now worth at least twice what I paid for the loaded ammo. Score again lol...

A year or so ago I bought some stereo connector wires thinking I would need them for a gun show alarm which I never bought...Now I need those wires for a truck project, and can't find them...Wherever it was I decided to put them, they stayed put...Of course as soon as I buy more new ones, I'll find them and probably trip and fall in doing so......Ben

Totally different but kind of the same , lol
Years ago my sisters ex boyfriend owed me 50 bucks , had for months and I had just stopped asking the deadbeat because he was always broke .
One day I stopped by my sisters home for a visit and every one was getting ready to go to the beach , I was wearing jeans not expecting a beach visit
Sister’s boyfriend said he had a pair of shorts I could use so I went into their bathroom and changed , once I pulled the shorts on I stuck my hands in the pockets to straighten them out and pulled out 2 $20 bills
I said nothing and smiled to myself 80% is close enough lol

I "found" a Ruger No. 1 in 25-06 in my safe. Huh what? Yeah, it still had the hang tag on it from the time I tried to sell it at the gun show. It didn't sell and got pushed to the back of the safe. I forgot about it. Then I found it and had my mid-summer Christmas. I'm pretty happy it didn't sell.

I open my gun safe and I'm amazed what I find inside.
On another note, over the past 27 years I've helped out long time friends who lived out of state. I eventually moved within 20 miles of my friends. My friend and I were avid competitive shooters.
After the devastating passing of my friend, his wife gave me 85,000 sp primers and 270 lbs of Montana gold 9mm bullets, along with many boxes of accessories.
I'm still helping when needed.

With deer season coming.........
I will be testing some 270 and 30-06 loads out, from full Factory fps
down to reduced "Meat saver" loads, to see what shows up on my 100 yard targets.

Just glad that my supplys are in good shape with all my rifle stuff.
