I should ckeck in the dark corners of my reloading room more often. A friend moved over to the Gulf Islands (BC) about 15 years ago. Nowhere to shoot over there and he hadn't done mjuch recently even here. He took his few guns but propellants etc. weren't allowed on the ferries except on certain sailings, so he gave them all to me :) He also shot BP, which I don't), so the tins of FG & FFFG aren't useful (although I did use some FFFG to blow up a stump a few years ago!) But these will be. All stored in the proverbial, cool, dark place so likely still OK. Not sure of the DOM but I'd guess 80's. Also a bunch of CCI & Remington 5 1/2 primers and >1000 C-I-L Imperial .22 target ammo. Given that I don't do a lot of shooting myself now, this should last me a long time for .38, .357, .45 ACP and .455 Webley. I already have a whack of Winchester primers, and a couple of pounds of Unique, Bullseye & 2400 as well as 231/HP38 and a bit of WSF.

700X is great for skeet loads. I used it for 12, 20 and 28 gauge and went through a good amount. It's OK for some pistol loads, but it's much better for shotgun.

These are some empty12# cans I finally disposed of last year... Yes, an incline trainer makes a good staging area! :sneaky:

700-X is an excellent pistol powder for target loads in non-magnums. If only it would meter consistently through powder measures. Great for .38 wadcutters. I happened to shoot some today with 158gr SWC's. I have a couple of cans I'd Iike to use up.

I bought a large container of 700-X many years ago when a trap shooting couple got divorced and had a garage sale. It worked well in .45 acp and 45 Colt. Unique is my standard powder for .41, .44 magnum and .45 Colt. 7.0 and a cast bullet is most of what I shoot in those calibers.
