My shooting buddy and I took a 60 mile South Easterly road trip Wednesday to a small gun shop. This shop had lots of powder. We left with a 4 pound container of 231. We passed on an 8 pounder though. I had a full pound left and he had some also. This should last us for some time.

The picture of the “powder wall”, is that a current picture and is that a display wall of choices or is everything in the picture full of product?

I only say this because the top-most shelf appears to be a full array of Alliant powders and those are amongst -THE- most difficult powders to find of any on the market.

It's one from their website. Checking current inventory you are correct, most Alliant are out of stock.
I haven't been in the store for a few months. Usaully it is stocked all full canisters.
He does have other powders Hodgdon, Accurate and more.
It is a one stop shop for reloading.

It's come pretty close to being able to get everything i want as long as it's not Alliant.
The clays line is still gone, but they seem to be offering similar rates in new offerings.
Over the years, I've seen Hodgdon fight hard to keep us stocked through all their brands in one way or another. Alliant ..... I'll likely never develop a new load with their products. it's been nearly a decade since I've last found an alliant powder I needed.
