This 66-2 is at a local dealer's.. SN AAT97XX, 4 1/2 " barrel, Pachmeyer grips and bearing the marking "New Jersey Department of Corrections". Mechanically tight and very sound, bore good but with numerous minor scuffs and scratches in the stainless steel. Grips are excellent. Nothing is included with the gun (such as box, papers, original grips) just the gun itself.

Dealer wants $429.95 but I can probably get it for $400. I do like it and would probably make it my truck gun if I had it.

Date of manufacture anyone?

Any opinions??

Thanks in advance.

Early 80's on the date of mfg. and 4 inch would be the barrel lenght.

4 OTD is about all you'd want to put in it, IMHO.

Stainless is a very forgiving "finish" and should clean up nice.

Good price on a great revolver. Get it, shoot it, love it. Regards 18DAI.

Cleaning up a SS Finish

GF!

I tried to PM you but it did not work. My computer skills are modest.

How does one remove scuffs and minor scratches from a SS finish?

Anyone with any ideas help me please!

I will probably buy this gun on Monday if it is still there.

I think you got a good deal. Try this - Something I've used on the frosted stainless barrel rib and frame topstrap is Flitz and a nylon toothbrush. It cleans it up without polishing the frosting off.
