FoxX Hybrid leather/kydex holster arrived

just checked my mail and this badboy got here. cant wait to try tonight after i get off work (work is not firearm friendly sadly) will post what i think tonight after wearing for a bit.

first impression:

looks great, has the kydex held by 6 rivets, 2 good clips on each end. great leather. my SD slides right in and out no problem. retention will be a bit more snug when actually wearing but without having it on its fairly snug anyways. will work on dry draws and whatnot tonight as well. dont wanna draw with a loaded firearm without being familiar with the holster

OK, I have to ask. You have a Police badge up by your name and in your signature you have fugitive recovery agent and you say that "work is not firearm Friendly". I'm confused, care to share?

By the way congrats on the Foxx Holster. I took a Galco Kingtuk that I had for a Glock 23 and heated it up and remolded it for SD. It fits great and is very comfortable.

Im not too fond on the last pic. The trigger guard is not completely covered as i would like. Seeing as there is no safety on the sd it worries me a bit

They look damn near identical, are sold from the same City, have the same thickness of Kydex and talk about competitors (cross breed, etc., ) in the same way....they both tout the same exact strengths, nearly word for word.

If I were forced to guess, I'd say the same company cutting their leather and kydex are supplying both locations, IF they're not the same company or somehow related.

It could always be that time honored tradition.
Employee A is faithful and trusty for years while he hones his skills and trade...then starts his own company from what he learned elsewhere, including the same supplier. Could even be a family member...or "ex" family member.
They are simply just too eerily similar to be that much of a coincidence.

very much. i did notice the AG is much more defined, and has many of the features of the sd molded into it. im favoring the AG over the foxx

may do some kind of giveaway for the foxx sometime, idk. or some kind of contest where winner gets it. just doesnt float my boat after seeing the better quality in the AG. sucks because foxx is located in warren at 10 and mound. id expect top quality

I like mine but I think I am going to try alien gear for the next one.

As you can see after about a year of normal use mine has a crack in the kydex and it is getting bigger. You can see where I "repaired" it with superglue on the outside and you can see how much longer the crack has got in the second pic of the inside of the holster.

yeah i was kinda iffy on the quality of the quality of the holster. my AG seems much more robust

How long did it take to get in your Foxx? I just ordered one today.

EBK, have you contacted them on the warranty? They offer a lifetime warranty. If you are going to keep that one, I recommend stop-drilling it at the end of the crack, or it will just continue to crack.

Took 1-2 weeks from order to arrive. Once it was made and shipped took only 1 day in the mail as i live right by foxx
