FPC Complete Disassembly

Has anyone ever fully disassembled the FPC? Im trying to completely disassemble it to perform some polishing on the connector. Im having trouble removing the pin for the trigger/feedramp/slide lock assembly.

I know this is an old post, but I am replying in case someone else finds this looking for help.

The pin pictured has a head on one side. it will only come out from left to right and should move pretty easily.
